Stanford SURGE Study

WordPressChallenge:
The Stanford Ultra-Rapid Gene Editing (SURGE) Study is testing whether gene editing can help babies born with urea cycle disorders. With recruitment already under way, the team needed a public home for the study that families could find and trust.
The site had to explain the science in plain language to families, introduce the Stanford team behind it, and make it easy to get in touch. It also needed a way for supporters to give.
Solution:
Wired Moon designed and built a single-page WordPress site, hosted on Stanford Domains, that explains the science, introduces the study team and gives families a clear next step. Our work included:
- Definition and strategy to confirm a single-page approach
- Content strategy and a copy deck written with the study team
- Custom visual design aligned with Stanford Medicine, plus a custom hero image
- A team section linking each member to their Stanford profile
- Giving integration with Stanford’s online donation page
- Page build on a custom WordPress child theme
- Accessibility and quality assurance across browsers
